Our purpose is to give every Muslim the opportunity to increase in their reward by doing good.
Two of the most powerful tools Allah (swt) has given us is Dua and Sadaqah and here we combining them to give you the opportunity to maximise your reward with Allah.
In Islam, dua is a direct connection between you and your lord. It is a means of seeking divine mercy, guidance, and provision. Allah (swt) repeatedly tells us to never give up and come back to him in faith. Make dua and Allah (swt) will accept.
Yet, while dua is a powerful spiritual tool, it is often complemented and strengthened by acts of charity (sadaqah). The Prophet Muhammad (saw) emphasized the transformative power of sadaqah, stating,
“Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity”.
(Tirmidhi)
Just as dua is a plea for Allah’s mercy, sadaqah is an action that invites His favour. By giving in charity, believers demonstrate sincerity in their supplications, showing that they are not merely asking but also acting upon their faith by helping those in need. Your intention is also important.
The Quran states, "Take from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them to increase”.
(9:103)
When a believer gives generously, they remove the barriers of sin, heedlessness, and attachment to material wealth that may be blocking the acceptance of their prayers. Just as fasting purifies the soul, sadaqah purifies wealth, ensuring that blessings flow freely into one’s life.
Furthermore, sadaqah is a means of unlocking divine response. The Prophet (saw) narrated a story of three men trapped in a cave, each of whom made dua by mentioning a good deed they had sincerely performed for Allah’s sake. As a result, Allah granted them deliverance (Bukhari, Muslim). This hadith serves as a powerful reminder that when we give in charity, our sincere acts stand as a testimony before Allah, increasing the likelihood of our duas being answered.
When a person gives with a pure heart—whether feeding the hungry, supporting the orphan, or aiding the oppressed—Allah, in His infinite mercy, grants ease and relief in ways unimaginable.
Most importantly, sadaqah is an act of faith and reliance on Allah (swt). To give away what one loves, without fear of loss, is a testament to trust in divine provision. The Prophet (saw) reassured the believers, saying,
“Charity does not decrease wealth”.
(Muslim)
In reality, giving only multiplies blessings, opening doors of provision and acceptance of one’s prayers.
Just as a farmer plants seeds in hope of a bountiful harvest, the believer gives in charity, trusting that Allah will answer their prayers in ways far greater than they can envision.
